Week Five, ‘Rites of Passage’ – The Stories
Three authors joined us in response to last week’s call for stories detailing a rite of passage in a future society! Let’s see what they came up with.
First, Black Ship staffer Agustin Guerrero gives us “Spark,” examining the juncture of technology, pain, and creativity.
Next, Flash Tales perennial Rose Green (‘perennial,’ ‘Rose.’ Get it? Like flowers? Oh, never mind.) contributes her story “Rite of Passage,” a story of teenage rebellion with a somewhat different technological component.
Finally, Ingrid K. V. Hardy throws “Rite of Way” our way, tackling the dual themes of human connection and digital isolation.
I hope to see you all later tonight for our Week Six prompt!
