Big Man Plans #1

These dudes put a wiener in my comic! Like worm’s eye view looking up at a little person’s donger. I’m not joking.

Alright, I have to keep it short and sweet this week. I know, it’s pretty unbelievable that I have a regular job but hey, gotta pay them bills homie.

This week I want to talk about Eric Powell and Tim Wiesch’s Big Man Plans.

Eric Powell is one of my favorite creators, by far. I just binged on all the back issues of Big Trouble in Little China, wait, you guys know he did that one too right? Also awesome. I love The Goon, the art and the way it’s written. I had some reservations about Big Man Plans. I really didn’t know where the story was going to go. I kind of knew it wasn’t just going to be bunch of midget jokes but I wasn’t sure.  What I got was totally unexpected.

This is usually the part where we break down what happens in the issue. I’m not going to do that. Just go grab a copy, you’ll love it. The story is WILD. Violence? F@#k yeah. Sex and nudity… man, I told you, THEY SHOW A DUDE’S WANGER. And to top it off there is an amazing story here. Wiesch and Powell have done a tremendous job of pulling us in and with the groundwork they’ve lain there is no doubt this is one comic you won’t want to miss. As usual, Powell kills it with the art and he also helps with the writing.

The best part of this book is that we all know Big Man has been through hell. Now he’s ramping up for some kind of vengeance and we get to go along for the ride.

Seriously, just got called in to work. That’s all, folks. Hope it’s enough to convince you to go grab a copy. Or maybe two, this one will be a collector’s item some day.

Really quick, here are some more comics that were in my pull box that you should check out: D4VE and Mutanimals #1. Both out last week by IDW, both very good books and I wish I had more time to plug them. So much  good stuff happening in comics!
