Flash Tales #26: The Cold Message

We’re shaking things up this week with a prompt from Flash Tales contributor S. R. Laubrea!

PROMPT: It’s a little after 9 in the morning. The doorbell rings, and there on the porch stands a man in a suit and a woman dressed in a skirt and blouse. Right away you know who they are and why they’re there: they brought a message – a message you don’t want to hear. Write a 1,500-word story about who these people are, what they have to say, and how their message impacted your character.

WORD COUNT: <1,500 words

DEADLINE: 11:59pm, Thursday, July 2, 2015
