Words. Those fascinating combinations of letters that have so much power. Words can soothe, they can endear, they can persuade, and they can terrify. Words create pictures in the minds of those who read, and write, them.

This week, we want you to create a picture in your mind and share it with us. By the way, we’re not at all interested in your words making us feel all comfy and cozy. We want you to get your freak on!

Prompt: Scare our socks off with a story that includes the following words: Cafeteria, keyboard, segment, washing machine, and chandelier

Genre: Horror

Word Count: 1,500 or less
